Thome Rivertown Assisted Living provides 80 private apartments to seniors aged 55 years and older who need services to maintain their independence. Seventy-five (75) of the apartments offer housing vouchers which provide rental assistance to qualifying individuals with annual incomes up to approximately $15,000 and up to $17,000 for a two-person household.
Individuals must provide proof of their incomes and age to qualify for a voucher. Five of the apartments have no income requirement. Individuals must also meet the Medicaid MI Choice requirements to be eligible for personal care and health related services that support consumers who require assistance with daily activities. Services available at Thome Rivertown Assisted Living include personal care, nursing, meals, medication assistance, transportation, and many others.
Examples of people who meet the MI Choice Eligibility criteria include those that need help with moving around in bed, transferring from bed to a chair and help with toileting and/or bathing.
People must also meet income and asset eligibility requirements and provide proof of the information provided in a Medicaid Application. Adjusted incomes cannot exceed $2,094 per month and total assets must be at $2,000 or less.
MI Choice staff can help in completing the Medicaid application and gathering the documents to verify the financial information stated in the application.
Thome Rivertown Assisted Living does not accept:
- Pets or weapons, and is smoke-free.
- Individuals convicted of a felony or has attempted or conspired to commit a felony.
- Families with children or live in care givers.
- Individuals convicted of misdemeanors involving but not limited to criminal sexual conduct, abuse, neglect, assault, fraud or theft.
