Located on our beautifully landscaped 58-acre campus, Dancey House and the Garden Apartments offer a combination of comfort, convenience, sociability and privacy. Dancey House
Dancey House offers charming apartment living with centrally located amenities. With its inviting community living and dining rooms (and our award-winning chef’s enticing selections), contemporary bistro grill and ice cream parlor, well-stocked library and media center, elegant movie theater, and other activity areas, it’s also the hub of Chelsea Retirement Community’s social life! You can choose from a variety of floor plans, including convenient studio units as well as attractive, well-appointed one- and two-bedroom apartment homes (several feature an added den or office, for your convenience).

Garden Apartments
Located just across a lovely landscaped drive from the main building and dining rooms, the Garden Apartments are set in a wooded area. With their spacious floor plans and private patios, our Garden Apartments are especially appealing to active, independent seniors. These one- and two-bedroom apartment homes feature private entryways, “personal” gardens, access to the clubhouse, and other amenities. Meals are served in the main dining areas at Dancey House, just a short walk away. As a member of our community, you have access to all campus amenities and resources, including our Campus Care home care support services.

Cottages

If your tastes are a bit more elegant, our Craftsman-style luxury Cottages may be just what you're looking for. Built in 2007 as the models for our award-winning Cedars of Dexter community, these newly-constructed Cottages are chock-full of quality features, including granite countertops, gas fireplaces, walk-in closets, heated storage and workshop space, private pergola patios and more. The Cottages offer spacious and barrier-free floor plans and design. Located near the Garden Apartments, the Cottages are just a short walk from the main building. As a member of our community, you have access to all campus amenities and resources, including our Campus Care home care support services.

Situated in a wooded residential neighborhood and built in conjunction with the Michigan State Housing Development Authority, The Pines of Chelsea offers affordable one- and two-bedroom apartments for those 55 and older.
